Editorial Policy

This page explains how content on The Thriving Table is made and what you can hold us to.

Our standard for recipes

  • Measurements are exact. Every ingredient has a quantity. We give cups and either grams or ounces wherever it matters.
  • Times are ranges, with a visual cue. Ovens, pans and air fryers differ, so we give a range and tell you what to look for.
  • Substitutions and storage are stated when they change the result.
  • Nutrition is an estimate. When we show a nutrition panel, it is calculated from published nutrition reference values and rounded. Brands and substitutions will change it. It is not medical or dietetic advice. If you manage a health condition, talk to a qualified professional.

How we use AI tools

We use AI tools to help with drafting, outlining, formatting and generating illustrative images. We do not publish raw machine output. Each article is reviewed against our recipe standard above before it goes live, and measurements, temperatures and times are checked for internal consistency.

Images. Many photos on this site are AI-generated illustrations of the finished dish. They are meant to show what the recipe aims for, not to be a photograph of a specific batch. Where an image is a real photograph, we say so.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and add an "Updated" date to the post. To report an error, email [email protected].

Advertising and affiliate relationships never decide what we recommend. Our own cookbooks are labelled as ours. Any affiliate link is marked, and details are on the affiliate disclosure page.

Health and safety

Cooking involves heat, sharp tools and food-safety risks. Follow safe handling guidance for meat, eggs, dairy and home-preserved foods, and use a thermometer where we say to. Home canning and preserving must follow tested procedures; our preserving recipes say when a recipe is for refrigerator or freezer storage only.
