Six p.m. You open the fridge, look at it, and close it. Then you open the delivery app. Again.
The problem is not cooking. It is deciding. By the end of the day you have nothing left to choose with, and takeout wins by default.
This book moves the decision somewhere else. You get 38 tested dinners, all under 30 minutes, grouped in five chapters, from sheet pan dinners to 30 minute meals to salads that fill you up. And you get a dashboard with one large button that answers what to make tonight.
How it works
- Set up your kitchen. Open the Dinner Picker, name your kitchen and answer six questions about how you really cook. It takes a minute and you do it once.
- Press the button. The picker suggests tonight's dinner based on your rules. It remembers what you cooked, so you do not get the same meal twice in one week.
- Cook, then plan. Follow the recipe, which gives grams next to cups and a real temperature or visible cue at the end of every step. Use the weekly planner and the shopping list to cover the rest of the week.
Every recipe is built the same way, so none of them surprise you. Every sauce and every slurry has a name, so step 7 never says "the mixture from step 2". Every recipe also has a difficulty rating from 1 to 5 stars.
What this is not
It is not a diet plan. It is 38 dinners and a tool for choosing between them.
It is not an app you subscribe to. The Dinner Picker is a single file you keep.
It is not a slow, story-first cookbook. There is no 20-page story before the first recipe. You get the dinners, the picker, the planner and the cheat sheet, ready to use tonight.

Questions
Does the Dinner Picker need the internet?
No. It is one file that opens in any browser with no internet connection. It works on a plane, in a basement and in a kitchen with bad signal.
How does the picker choose?
You name your kitchen and answer six questions about how you actually cook. From then on the picker starts with your kind of dinner. It remembers what you cooked, so it will not hand you the same meal twice in one week.
Are the nutrition numbers real?
Calories and protein are calculated per serving from the USDA public database, not guessed.
Can I print the planner?
Yes. The Weekly Dinner Planner and the Dinner Matrix are printable bonuses in both US Letter and A4.
How do I know how hard a recipe is?
Every recipe is rated 1 to 5 stars for difficulty, so you know what you are signing up for before you start.
